The oak log exports of the German forestry stay below the previous year levels. In December 6,859 cbm were exported, decreasing 21 percent. The export value declined 25 percent.

The year 2009 for the German machinery and plant engineering had been one of the worst since decades. Especially the producers of woodworking machinery had to face a dramatic decline of sales. Their turnover in 2009 was reduced by 42 percent compared with the previous year.
