Norvik Timber Industries' Estonian subsidiary Laesti started its second sawmill in Sauga on the 26th of April. The opening ceremony was attended by about 150 people.

"The construction process took just over 1 year and was accomplished within budget", says Olavi Tang, Managing Director of Laesti.

The sawmill will increase Laesti's annual production to 80 000 m3 of sawn timber and the sawmill will primarily produce from small diameter logs.

"We see Estonia as a strategic country where we want to grow our presence and the Laesti Sauga sawmill project supports this", says Sampsa Auvinen, CEO of Norvik Timber Industries.
